The Solstice celebration continues with the Lady of July! Her art reflects determination & freedom, with her birthstone being the Ruby & her birth flower, the Larkspur.

I particularly wanted to channel my love of lanterns & their tranquil and introspective qualities. The stars were my favorite thing to include in this piece, not only because I enjoy drawing them, but they represent so much. Wishes, dreams, hopes! She is a very hopeful piece.

I’m still healing from my shoulder surgery, which requires much time out of my day for physical therapy and icing down. But I am growing stronger and able to pick up a brush with less pain! I hope to be back creating more than sketches soon.

In the meanwhile, enjoy these gorgeous hydrangeas that line our front yard. Every season has brought us new blooming surprises! It’s been a wonderful place to heal and recuperate in. I hope you all are safe and well!

I'm still taking it easy as I heal from shoulder surgery. What better season for healing and renewal as all these beautiful blooms spring up around me here in GA?

The colorful flowers here have me reminescing on the Goddesses of Spring, who are my 2nd favorite in my Birthstone Goddesses series.

🌸March is for Daffodils and Aquamarine. She was created during Easter and represents the power of resurrection.

🌼 April is for Daisies and Diamonds.
She cares for the arbors and brings light to the forests.

🌷May is for Lily of the Valley and Emeralds. She dances for life and celebrates the height of growth and birth.

Checking in to let you all know I’m recovering well from my shoulder surgery! 👍 They repaired a torn labral and bicep tendon from an old injury I underestimated the damage from. I can’t believe I’ve been working through this pain for so long. I’m looking forward to getting some relief once I’m all healed up!

They’ll be letting me out of the sling far sooner than anticipated (this Friday!!) and then I begin my journey with physical therapy.

Thanks for all your well wishes! 🥰Be good while I’m gone, everyone. I’ll be back before too long, if all continues to go well!

It has been so lovely and springlike here in Georgia! It’s our first spring in this new home and I’ve been delighted by all the unexpected flowers springing up from beneath the autumn clutter. Can’t wait to see what blooms for summer!

Art has been slow while I remain on medical hiatus awaiting shoulder surgery for a torn tendon, but I’m still finding inspiration where I can.
