Currently based out of Atlanta, I grew up in a multicultural family and spent much of my life traveling as a military brat. It was overseas in Germany at a young age that I fell in love with my first taste of fantasy in the collected stories of the Grimms Brothers and Hans Christian Andersen.

I grew up with the dream that one day I might be able to follow in their footsteps and tell stories to awe and terrify future generations.

I’ve earned three degrees, a BA in English, a BA in Studio Art, and an MA in Arts Administration. I could never choose between my love of writing, of illustration, and for helping other artists.

In recent times, I’ve published my first art instruction book , Angelic Visions, via the mass market and keep a blog dedicated to giving advice and inspiration to other artists (along with sneak peeks of my latest works).  I do leather crafting by night, painting by day, and creative writing in-between the two.

Influences

I grew up absorbed in mythology, particularly tales of tricksters, Elves, and winged beings.  While other kids were out playing, I was in the library gobbling up stories of myths and monsters. My main influences include artistic movements such as art nouveau, pre-raphaelite art, the Symbolists, and comic book artists from the 90’s.

I regularly attend Dragon Con and other conventions and events on occasion.  Check my Calendar of Events to see where I might wind up next!
