Angela R. Sasser is a university-trained artist & author working out of her home studio in the south Atlanta area.  Her artistic education includes bachelor’s degrees in English and Studio Art from the University of West Georgia, as well as an MFA in Arts Administration from the Savannah College of Art & Design. 

She grew up as an Army brat traveling extensively throughout her childhood, particularly Germany, where living near the hometown of the famous folklorists, the Brothers Grimm, fostered an early love of the fantastic and magical that has inspired her art and writing since.

Angela is the author of “Angelic Visions: Create Fantasy Art Angels With
Watercolor, Ink and Colored Pencil.” from Penguin Random House, as well as the Birthstone Goddesses Coloring Book, self-published via Kickstarter.

She is a professional illustrator working in digital & traditional media who is inspired by the elegant beauty, feminine power, & Romantic darkness of the Symbolist, Art Nouveau, & Preraphaelite movements.  She has won several awards, including Judge’s Choice and Best in Show, throughout the southeast convention circuit and has done work for the New York Times bestselling novelist Jacqueline Carey, Disney Singapore Hotel, and for various other authors.

Angela is currently self-represented as an illustrator creating book covers, art books, calendars, greeting cards, enamel pins, and other merchandise inspired by her own designs.  She is currently seeking licening and representative opportunities.
